Who it is for

Distributor sales teams, account managers and business development reps selling hemp derived THC beverages into retail.

Curriculum

Eight modules, each one gated.

A module has to be passed before the next one opens, so nobody arrives at the assessment having skipped the law.

Course contents Two to three hours
01 Category Context and Market Reality Where THC beverages sit inside the moderation movement, how buyers are actually evaluating the set, and how to size an opportunity from data rather than from a growth headline.
02 Legal Foundation and Regulatory Structure The 2018 Farm Bill, the dry weight measure, hemp against marijuana, THCA and CBD conversion pathways, what delta-8 is, the absence of a federal framework for finished consumable hemp products, and why federal compliance has never guaranteed that a product is legal in a given state.
03 Dosing and Experience Control Milligram measurement, serving against container math, onset and duration, liver metabolism and 11-hydroxy-THC, and how per serving and per container caps differ from state to state. There is no national standard serving, and the course says so.
04 Biology and Cannabinoids The endocannabinoid system, CB1 receptors, how THC produces effects, what CBD does on its own, cannabinoid ratios, and why nobody can promise a customer a specific outcome.
05 How THC Beverages Are Made Hemp biomass to finished can. Both production pathways that are in commercial use, emulsification and the oil and water problem, shelf life, potency drift, and why manufacturing quality varies between brands.
06 Selling Quality, Handling Objections, and Positioning COA led selling, the five objections buyers raise most, the AREA rebuttal framework, and the margin and velocity arguments that land in a buyer meeting.
07 Distribution and Compliance Execution Verifying compliance state by state, compliant against non-compliant sales language, what a rep may and may not say, escalation, and where accountability sits in the distributor.
08 Future Outlook and Category Maturity The federal definition changing in late 2026, what that does to the products on your truck, and what the channel looks like on the other side of it.
Final Assessment A 75 question exam pool, 50 multiple choice and 25 true or false, drawn across all eight modules. Randomised and auto graded.

The credential

What a pass is worth.

01

A HBC-S certificate and badge, issued by Learn Brands LLC of Denver, Colorado, and shareable on LinkedIn.

02

Valid for two years, because the rules in this category move faster than that.

03

A record you can keep in a personnel file, which matters when somebody asks what training your team has had.

04

Access to the refresh when the federal definition changes, which it does on December 11, 2026.

The other editions

Same science, different job.

The category knowledge is shared across all three. What changes is the room you are standing in.
