About the credential.
What Hemp Bev Certified is
Three professional certifications for the hemp derived THC beverage trade, issued by Learn Brands LLC of Denver, Colorado. HBC-S for distributor sales teams, HBC-R for retail, and HBC-OP for bars and restaurants. Eight modules each, gated at seventy five percent, with a certificate valid for two years.
Why it exists
Beverage alcohol has had responsible vendor training for decades. Hemp derived THC beverages arrived in the same coolers and on the same back bars with none of it. The people answering customer questions about dose, onset and legality were learning from a sell sheet, a supplier rep, or whatever they read that week.
This is the training that was missing, written for the person standing on the floor rather than for a compliance binder.
How the content is kept honest
Three rules govern what goes in.
- No medical claims. The course explains what the product is and what it does. It never teaches anybody to promise a customer an outcome, because nobody lawfully can.
- No invented standards. Where the industry has no agreed standard, the course says so. There is no national standard serving size for a THC beverage, and the course does not present one as though there were.
- No numbers that go stale silently. State rules move. The course teaches you how to check your own market rather than handing you a count of states to memorise.
Industry review
The HBC-S and HBC-R courses were read through by the Hemp Beverage Alliance, whose comments are reflected in the current material. Every correction raised was applied across all three editions, including the on-premise course that was written afterwards.
What the credential is not
It is a professional credential. It is not a licence to sell or handle any regulated cannabis product, it does not replace any responsible vendor training your state requires, and nothing in it is legal, medical or regulatory advice.
